Nature Conservation

To truly sustain a nature conservation, you have to look at the entire ecosystem around it. That includes the human ecosystem – the community. The higher the well-being of the surrounding community, the higher capacity it will have to contribute to a positive outlook for the conservation.

What are we doing?

Nature conservation as we’ve known it is dead. We need more than donations and fences to save our biodiversity and lands. We’re creating and implementing sustainable financing models for conservation and land management of wildlife preserves and the communities around them. This will free private and public entities from their reliance on tourism, consumptive use, government grants or philanthropy and spark a local economy. Our “stimulus package” is in design and will be experiment in the coming years with our different partners in Africa.

Sustainable in every way

Wildlife animals should be free and not worry about whether it’s tourist season or whether the market is in red. We don’t want wildlife to become extinct. We love animals. And we love people who dedicate their lives to protect animals. But to make sure that the sustainability of the conservation area goes beyond preserving the land, we have to bring in tools and investments to help jump start local businesses, better access to education, and modern economy business models.

Entrepreneurs

We’ve already partner with Declan Hofmeyr, recently appointed Council Member of South African Wildlife Management Association, is co-founder of Conservation Catalysts Africa. With 25 years of experience in all aspects of the vast field that conservation management has become, Declan has accumulated extensive experience in protected area management, both public and private. Declan is married to Carmen Hoffmeyr, co-founder of Conservation Catalysts Africa and a life long conservationist with a shared passion and dedication to wildlife preservation. With a combined experience of more than 50 years in the field, they have extensive experience in protected area and wildlife management.
